Imagine a bright future for Hinesburg! A future with less cars on the road, more people sharing the ride. Happier. Cleaner. Greener.

1200 lbs of CO2 emmissions could be saved by sharing a ride to work just one day a week. See, you can make a difference and save in all ways!

People helping people share the ride! We have assembled a team of caring volunteers and professionals who are reinventing how Hinesburg rides.

We will be working diligently on this site and all of our programs, so stay tuned!

Gas prices kept creeping up, so my coworkers and I started carpooling. Now we ride together two or three days a week and the savings are really adding up!

Sharing a ride to work is easier than you think. With our ride matching system you can find dozens of other people who are headed to work in the same direction you are.
We’re providing rides for Hinesburg residents to the doctor, grocery store, post office and other approved needs. If you would like to become a volunteer driver, if you need a ride, or know of someone who does, contact us today.

1/3 of the energy
used by Vermonter’s is by driving.
Usually alone! Do you ride alone?

Way to Go Week

Way to Go Week starts May 13 through May 17 this year.  Please plan to participate by riding the bus, carpooling/vanpooling, working at home, biking to work, or walking to work.  You can register at Go Vermont, www.connectingcommuters.org.  Help Hinesburg win a prize!

The one-year celebration of the 116 Commuter bus service took place on April 23rd.  If you rode the bus that beautiful, sunny morning, you were given a free gift and entered a raffle to win a Kindle Fire or a 7th Generation bag of goodies.  There were 30 people who rode the two a.m. ccommuter buses up the 116 corridor starting in Middlebury.  This was great ridership!  The winnder of the Kindle Fire was Tristin Adie, a South Burlington resident, and the winner of the 7th Generation bag of goodies was Mark Bowman of Monkton.  Congratulations to you both.  There will be more promotional events throughout the coming months so you too have a chance to win something.  Keep on riding the bus and thank you for your participation!
